Basically, I'm what one might call a "Bedroom DJ". I take a song I like and I put a dance beat behind it. Okay, so it's not quite that simple, but I do what I can. I don't claim to be a world-class musician or top music producer, but considering I have no formal training whatsoever, I think my stuff comes out sounding pretty cool in general.
It started when I was looking for a dance mix of a song and couldn't find it anywhere. So I thought, maybe I can do that. Then I heard some other songs that I thought would make great dance mixes, but I couldn't find them. One in particular came about when I used to call my friend who never answered his phone. He had a sound clip from a movie as his out-going message, and after having listened to it for the three-hundredth time and memorized it long before, I found a certain rhythm to the clip and I decided to put a beat behind it and give it to him as a gag. However, it turned out to be much more complicated than that when I decided to add music from the movie whence it came and a lot of dubbing of the dialogue. Needless to say, though, he absolutely loved it and it started me on a whole string of remixes of Doris Day songs.
Anyway, take a listen to the songs below and let me know what you think!
